Visit the husky kennel
Welcome to visit our husky kennel and hang out with 28 Siberian Huskys.
A guide shows you around and tells you how we train the dogs, how to put on harnesses and how to use the sleds.
We offer coffee in the barbecue hut.

Husky hiking
Bälingeberget is a nature reserve just outside Luleå.
After the ice sheet melted about 10,000 years ago, the earth's surface was pressed down by its weight and the sea surface was 230 meters higher than today.
For millennia, the earth's surface has risen and still does today at 9mm / year.
From the sea rose islands that today can be seen as mountains. You can see how Bälingeberget has been worn by the sea and its storms.
Fields of pebbles and gravel, beach embankments and caves formed by the sea characterize Bälingeberget.
A rich plant and wildlife with various lichens, herbs bearing deciduous trees and pines that can be up to 400 years old can be seen on the mountain. Hares, martens, foxes, moose and bears roam the forests.
A rich bird life such as owls, and small birds can also be seen.
Together with our huskies we walk along a marked trail to the top where we enjoy the view and a good coffee around an open fire before we hike down again. The trip takes 2-3 hours.

Husky hiking in the evening
It is great fun to walk with our Siberian huskies out in the wonderful nature of Swedish Lapland. The dogs love to join walks and their enthusiasm makes each individual walk a happy and exciting experience, which is something we want to share with you.
Our Husky Walking Tour will be enjoyed by both children and adults, making it the perfect activity for the whole family.
Each person who participates in our husky hike will have their own husky on a leash.
The tour starts at the parking lot Bälingeberget, where we meet and you can get to know the huskies. Together with a guide, you walk along a marked path to the top of Bälingeberget where we enjoy the evening sun and a good Swedish coffee around an open fire before we go down again. The trip takes between 2-3 hours and suits all fitness levels.
The mountain Bälingeberget rises 139 meters above sea level and forms a background to the agricultural landscape in this river valley. When the ice sheet melted 10,000 years ago, the earth was pushed down by the enormous weight of the ice. When the earth gradually regained its shape, the top of Bälingeberget eventually appeared as a small island in the sea. For millennia, the island grew into an entire mountain whose sides had been washed by sea waves. So far, you can see that the mountain has been exposed to sea storms. When climbing to the top, you cross flat stones that are washed bare, wide walls and washed gravel deposits.

Picking berries
Picking berries is more than just the wonderful feeling of stuffing fresh berries in your mouth.
It is all the senses that come to life in the nature around you - the smell of the forest, the sound of your boots and the buzzing of the insects.
We meet at Luleå Adventure and go out into the woods in a trailer behind a quad bike.
With a bucket in our hands and boots on our feet, we set out to look for blueberries or lingonberries and if we are lucky we may find wild berries.
With peace of mind and buckets filled with berries, we return to taste the harvest along with whipped cream.

Unwind in our cozy wood-fired Sauna
Sauna
Sauna is health.
When you bathe in the sauna, the joints and muscles are softened, you feel a well-being in the body.
Sauna baths can be good for the heart according to a Finnish study, saunas and winter baths can relieve rheumatism.
Elite athletes also benefit from sauna baths to remove lactic acid and other residual products.
Vigorous heating and rapid cooling expose the body to great stress, but it is also part of the nature of the bath and the enjoyment of the sauna.
